My Life in Five Years
Now, I’m not sure that I declared my major, biology. First, I would like to be mad in studying my major work. Still I have no interests in biology, I will change my major. I hope that I find my certain major I’m interested within five years. Also, I would like to go to the Philippines the year after next in a year as a missionary. Through a missionary, I can speak English well and I wish to lead many Filipinos to God. I want to focus on finding what to do with my life in the next five years. After five years, I want to go out with a boyfriend. 
Social Issue – Political Corruption
In this post, I will discuss some social issues. There are a lot of examples of interesting or important social issues affecting the entire world, e.g. global warming, the nuclear war, abortion, oil shock, and financial difficulties. Today, some of the most important social issues affecting Korea are the strike of the railway labor union, government relocation to Sejong City, and political corruption of powerful institutions.
In my point of view, I think the most important social issue affecting Korea these days is political corruption, NTS(the National Tax Service)-gate and Dogok affair(the President’s corruption). 
NTS-gate is the jobs-for-cash scandal implicating the former director of the National Tax Service. He took bribes under the pretext of promoting for a job. Also, Dogok affair is the speculation that the president has owned the land in Dogok-dong and some of his hidden assets are in borrowed names.
This problem affects every Korean. Powerful institutions such as NTS, NIS(the National Intelligence Service), Prosecutors, and government officials lose the people’s confidence. However, some presidential officials say that attacks on NTS-gate and Dogok affair are partially intended to attack the president because the president’s maligning forces want to win when the presidential election will be held in 2012.
In conclusion, I suppose that the special counsel should be formed and investigate this event thoroughly. I hope to know the truth. I want the nation to develop. The government always says that the nation becomes wealthier, but I believe that the nation’s morality is the locomotive of the economic growth of the nation. Therefore, political corruption hinders a Korean growth and progress.
E-mail Interview with Kwon Jun-duck
Kwon Jun-duck is an interesting student. He will graduate next year and next year he would like to study MBA course. As well, during this winter vacation, he will ski once a week.
He can ski quite well but not nearly as good as professionals. Furthermore, He has a big dream. If he has a lot of money, he would like to make hospitals in developing country. He wants to be like Dr.V who made Aravind Hospital in India.
Dr.V made a hospital which work and give free medical services to poor people in India. ARAVIND has advanced medical skill level then other donation hospitals, they charge more money to wealthy people and they do not charge to poor people, so they can give a free medical service to poor.
Getting to Know My Classmates
Today in class I talked to Kim Min-hye. She is twenty-two years old, and a junior. I talked to her about her major, dreams and the country that she wants to visit.
Her major is English Language & English Literature. The reason why she chose this major is that she loves to learn English. She likes just English language study more than English Literature. Originally, she wanted to be an English teacher, but now she wants to be a reporter! Before she met a famous reporter for The Hankyoreh, then she began to get interested in journalism and she wants to become a reporter. To become a good reporter, she wrote for my school newspaper as a reporter when she was sophomore. Now, she quits being a campus-newspaper reporter because it is difficult to study well and write articles every week, but so far she love to write articles.
She has not gone abroad. She’d like to go to Spain.
Two years ago, she learned Spanish and a little about the culture of Spain. There are a lot of festivals in Spain. When she studied Spanish and their lifestyle, she felt that Spain is an attractive country. After I talked to her about Spain, I also want to go there. Since we don’t have much time, we didn’t have a deep conversation. However, it is good for me to get to know classmates. Always, meeting and talking to a new student is interesting and exciting.
My Favorite Blogs
My favorite blog is ‘Loobylu’. 
The blogger is Claire Robertson, who is a free-lancer illustrator and web designer. It is not a special kind of blog and just a personal blog about her daily life and her practice pieces. However, this blog is pretty famous. The reason why I like it is it looks clean , simple, and is very sweet. It is more useful than other blogs to study English through reading blog posts. The organization is concise in style. The blogger has written in somewhat easy English sentences, so it is possible for me to read posts without trouble. There are a lot of pretty and image, so whenever I see it, I want to buy a digital camera (DSLR).
I found this blog when I surfed many blogs because of homework in my ‘Internet English’ class. From now on, I will often visit this blog, and I’d like to make my blog simple and attractive.

I can’t live without my cellular phone.
My cellular phone is something I can’t live without. My cell phone is called Sky Whoo Phone. 
It is possible to keep in touch with my treasured friends. These days, a lot of people use the messenger service to stay in touch with their friends. I don’t like messenger, when I type, I feel frustrated because I can’t type fast. Some people using messenger say “Instant messaging is the text version of a phone call.” I am against typing. Instant messaging cannot substitute for a phone call. Texts don’t convey the feeling of the person. When I talk to my friends on the phone, I feel friendship growing between my friends and I. If I live without a cellular phone, perhaps my life would be too boring.:(
My Dream Vacation
I would like to go ‘Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park’ in Australia on my dream vacation. Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park is listed as a World Heritage Site. My favorite movie is ‘Cry Out the Love in the Heart of the World’, a japanese movie. 
The setting of the last scene is Uluru. The last scene is an impressive scene because of the vast landscape. In the movie, the young hero and the young heroine wanted to go to Uluru. However, the time when they try to go, she collapsed with leukemia. Finally, they didn’t get to go to Uluru. As time goes on, he recalled upon his school days with his first love. Although she died in the past, he visited Uluru and scattered her ashes there. In the last scene, a theme song played and the movie showed the grand landscape of Uluru. I will never forget this scene! Uluru changes color at different times of the day and year. Most people who visited there say that the sunset when Uluru changes red is a memorable sight. 
If I go to there, I just want to see Uluru and listen to the music. Uluru has cooler weather in April and May. In August and September, animals breed and plants flower. I would like to go there in August next year by myself. I will stay in Australia for about two weeks and collect my thoughts about my future and my vision of life, and take a rest. Ah~ I want to go there as soon as possible!
My Major
My major is Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. 
This semester, I’m taking Japanese 2, Internet English, Molecular Cell Biology 2, Proteomics, Organic Chemistry, Biostatics, Experimental Microbiology and Biochemistry. I am taking five classes in my major. My class schedule is very tight, so I am sometimes tired and busy. Every week I must submit a term paper of the week’s experiment. 
This experiment class is difficult, but I will understand and memorize a lot of scientific theory. These days I have done well. It is annoyingL. Also, my major, Biology, has a lot of complex mechanisms. Biology requires student to memorize a number of mechanisms.
I prefer to memorize only some mechanisms that will apply to all cases. These days, I like Organic Chemistry and Biostatics more than Biology, because they have answers. The professor teaches a subject in English. If I do not prepare a lesson, I do not understand it all. This semester, I wanted to give up classes in English, but I decided not to avoid English and overcome my fear of English. My goal of this semester is to give up studying a major because of English. Finally, I want to make the Lord and everyone smile. It is my personal goal. To achieve my goal, I want to become a researcher, so the poor will benefit from manufacturing low-priced medicines. 
Through development of low-priced medicines, many people will be liberated from a disease that the patients pay a lot for. Yes, I am trying to study hard to be a good researcher.
